The Queens County Committee, Inc. is as old as the American Legion.  We were founded in 1919 and have provided leadership and guidance to the American Legion Posts of Queens County, New York City, NY.

Since 1919, the American Legion Posts of Queens County, New York City, NY have been welcoming VETERANS from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country. Joining one of our Posts enables you to continue serving your God, Country and Community Our mission is to implement the goals, aspirations, dreams, peace and blessings for our country, friends and families embodied in our preamble below.

The Queens County American Legion Family consists of 21 posts with over 1200 members in total.  Additionally, we have Auxiliary units and Sons of the Legion squadrons.  Our Primary focus is that of service to Veterans and their families.  We support the St. Albans Veteran’s Hospital and the New York State Nursing Veterans Home through posts and individual efforts.  We have a variety of educational programs to school age children on Americanism and Flag awareness.  The community is also served by our volunteer efforts.  New members are always welcome.  Now, more than ever, our country needs The American Legion and the Legion needs all of you to step up and get involved!
